Nike has announced the appointment of Rosemary St. Clair as vice president and general manager of its global women's business and Cesar Garcia as vice president and general manager of global running. They will report to Amy Montagne, who was recently appointed to the post of vice president and general manager of global categories. St. Clair, who most recently managed the company's running category in China, has been with Nike for 31 years in various roles. Garcia, who has been with Nike for 17 years, was most recently vice president of merchandising for global running. He previously took care of this category in Japan and Western Europe. Meanwhile, the number of top managers leaving the Nike group since March has risen from six to eleven, according to The New York Times. They are Steve Lesnard, the head of running in North America; Helen Kim, who oversaw Eastern North America; Simon Pestridge, a head of marketing for the company's performance categories; and Tommy Kain, Nike's director of sports marketing and Ibrahem Hasan, a senior creative director. Hasan's departure has been confirmed by Nike, without explaining the reasons.
