Nike has named Howard Taylor managing director and vice president of the Nike Foundation, the company's arm that promotes the participation of adolescent girls in society as a way to eradicate poverty in developing countries. He will take over the position in January, leaving his current job at the Department for International Development in the U.K., where he most recently focused on Ethiopia. He had a role in the organization's partnership with the Nike Foundation that started up last year.
