Nike has reportedly opened a new head office in New York City, as part of its move to focus on a dozen key cities. Covering six floors, the new office is situated on Sixth Avenue in lower Midtown Manhattan, making it a central location for the brand's stores in the Upper East Side, Midtown, the Flatiron and SoHo districts in Manhattan, as well as Flatbush in Brooklyn. The head office includes an open plan workspace with tiles made from recycled materials and a basketball court that is available for employees as well as high school teams, local leagues and partners. Another distinctive feature is a roof terrace with plants that form a giant Nike Swoosh logo.
