Nike is the Official Partner of the European Athletics Championships 2018 in Berlin, which will be held on Aug. 7-12 at Berlin's Olympic Stadium, with the road races and race walking events held throughout the city. The sportswear giant is already a supplier to the German Athletics Federation (DLV). As part of the deal, Nike will receive extensive advertising space at the event. Berlin forms part of the first multisport European Championships this August in Berlin and Glasgow, a new event taking place every four years. The Glasgow 2018 sports program will start with a day of qualifications on Aug. 2, and will run until Aug. 12. According to European Athletics, a total of 1,500 athletes will compete in Berlin, while around 3,000 athletes will be competing in Glasgow.
