Nike has appointed Muge Erdirik Dogan as its new Chief Technology Officer, Bloomberg reports, referring to an internal email. Dogan spent 16 years at Amazon, where she held various positions in different consumer categories and the delivery business before becoming President of Amazon Fashion and Fitness in 2021. Amazon announced earlier this month the closure of its US Amazon Style locations, two brick-and-mortar apparel stores in California and Ohio that first opened in 2022.
At Amazon, company veteran Jenny Freshwater has taken over the role vacated by Dogan. According to her LinkedIn page, Freshwater has held various roles in software, planning, operations and marketing at Amazon over the past 13 years, most recently as VP of Traffic and Marketing Technology.
