Nike Inc. is suing Lululemon Athletica, claiming that at least four of Lululemon’s footwear products infringe its patents. In a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court, Nike alleges that Lululemon’s Blissfeel, Chargefeel Low, Chargefeel Mid and Strongfeel sneakers infringe on Nike’s patents related to its Flyknit technology, with reference to some textile and other design elements. Nike is seeking an undisclosed sum in damages and a permanent injunction to prevent any further infringement.
Lululemon has responded with a statement saying that Nike’s claims are unjustified, The Business of Fashion has reported.
Nike previously sued the Vancouver-based company in January 2022 for allegedly making and selling the at-home Mirror Home Gym fitness device and related mobile apps without authorization.
Nike’s Flyknit mesh has featured in lawsuits before, notably with Adidas.
