Nike's Sustainable Business & Innovation Lab is setting up a venture capital operation that will look for and fund alternative energies and better business practices. Bloomberg has reported that SBI will invest money in startup businesses that develop sustainable practices or that help promote more healthful living. The SBI was created in 2009 as a way for Nike to revamp its efforts toward social responsibility. The new operation hasn't funded any business yet.
