Nikita Clothing and Bonfire Snowboarding have announced the addition of Vicki Vasil as brand manager for both brands. Vasil will be based in Portland, Oregon, where the two brands are headquartered, and work closely with the design teams, including Heida Birgisdottir, Nikita's founder, who is based in Reykjavík, Iceland. Vasil's responsibilities will include the management and development of new marketing initiatives for the North American and EMEA markets for both Nikita and Bonfire. Vasil most recently led the marketing team at a digital agency, driving brand marketing, social media, public relations and content marketing services that served both e-commerce and brick and mortar businesses. Previously, she served three years as director of marketing of the Board Retailers Association (BRA), the organization dedicated to uniting and protecting specialty retailers and the boardsports lifestyle in the U.S. She has also worked in several marketing roles in the action sports and retail industries including Surf Expo and Macy's East.
