On Dec. 12, with a multi-year contract, the National Basketball Association (NBA) made the Bauerfeind GenuTrain its official knee brace. The German orthotics maker began dealing with the NBA more than a decade ago, when professional players began using the original GenuTrain brace. At present, the official NBA brand ambassador is the Dallas Mavericks' power forward Dirk Nowitzki, who has been playing for 21 seasons. The GenuTrain NBA brace has been available at retail in the U.S. since Dec. 12. It will be launched elsewhere in the world in late 2018 and 2019.
