On March 5, Globetrotter opened its store in Munich at last. It was a 12-year journey to find the right location. In the end, the Hamburg-based chain set up at Isartor in a highly competitive retail environment. The 6,500-square-meter flagship store is only a few minutes' walk from single-brand stores such as Jack Wolfskin and the new door of Mammut, as well as of the large local heroes, Schuster and Sport Scheck. The most interesting thing on the trade side is that Globetrotter's shop design does not really highlight brands. There are no shop-in-shops in it, with one exception.
