OrthoLite, the global leader in branded comfort footwear, announces the appointment of Vikash Bajargyan as the new General Manager of OrthoLite India (OIN). In his new position, Bajargyan will oversee OIN’s overall operations. This includes leading manufacturing and business development, as well as building and managing relationships with brands and Tier 1 factory partners.
Bajargyan joins OrthoLite with 18 years of experience in the footwear industry in India. Most recently, he was with Coats Group as Sales and Marketing Director, where he led the team and grew the Coats Footwear business across India and Bangladesh. Prior to Coats, Bajargyan worked at Texon in Chennai for six years, where he served as Director of Global Business Development. He has a proven track record as a supply chain expert and team leader.
OrthoLite India, based in Ambur, Tamil Nadu, is the latest addition to OrthoLite’s portfolio of vertically integrated global facilities. OrthoLite India opened in June 2021 and is now fully operational to further expand local capabilities and meet the needs of OrthoLite’s brand partners. Located at the center of India’s footwear production, OIN is positioned to accelerate time-to-market and increase supply chain reliability for OrthoLite’s partners. OIN is a highly modern manufacturing facility that promotes local production and service while providing important risk mitigation for OrthoLite’s more than 500 global brand partners and India’s leading domestic brands. Sixty-six of OrthoLite’s global brand partners manufacture in India, and the region is part of OrthoLite’s global manufacturing strategy to align factories and provide efficient and exemplary service to local partners and T1s.
