Patagonia is planning to transfer some of its European operations from its present European headquarters in the French town of Annecy to a new European office in Amsterdam. It also wants to open sales offices in London and Munich to be closer to its clients in two of its major European markets. The reorganization has already led to the departure of some managers and the recruitment of new ones. It comes after a year in which Patagonia Europe's sales grew by 18 percent to €52 million through the end of April under the leadership of Stefan Wahlén, the former executive of Nike and Peak Performance who has been in charge of Europe, the Middle East and Africa over the past couple of years. The new Dutch office will take care of marketing and e-commerce, including the related customer service functions.
