Payless ShoeSource, the big American shoe retail chain that was formerly owned by Collective Brands, has sold Airwalk to Authentic Brands Group (ABG), along with three other brands – Hind, Vision Street Wear and Above the Rim – that had not been taken over by Wolverine Worldwide from Collective at the end of 2012. Each brand will retain its present licensees. Run by Jamie Salter, ABC owns a number of other brands including Hickey Freeman, Judith Leiber, Sportcraft and Spyder. It recently acquired Juicy Couture.
