
Pentland Brands, the parent company of several sports, outdoor and lifestyle brands including Speedo, Berghaus, Canterbury, Ellesse and Mitre, has appointed Belinda Deery as its new head of human resources. Deery is an experienced CHRO who has held HR leadership roles at FTSE-listed, private equity and family-owned global companies including Clarks, New Look, House of Fraser and Debenhams.
Deery joins Pentland from behavioral change consultancy KultraLab, where she was chief insight & solutions officer for the past two years. Prior to KultraLab, Deery spent nine years at Clarks in roles including HR director, global talent director and most recently chief people officer. In her new role as a member of the Pentland Brands executive team, Deery will lead the HR services, recruiting, compensation, employee engagement and internal communications teams across the company and brands globally. She will also focus on creating a people-centric organization and culture program that will help Pentland Brands continue to grow as a pioneering and positive work environment.
