Pentland Brands has announced that charity projects will have until April 20 to apply for funding and become part of its new corporate charity partners. The company said particular attention will be given to supporting projects that inspire people to become more active as well as projects that are meant to empower disadvantaged communities. As for its geographical scope, the company said it would give priority to projects focused either on the U.K., where it is headquartered, or on its “key sourcing markets,” which it listed as China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Portugal. Applications are acceptable for project proposals with a value of between £10,000 (€11,200-$13,890) and £50,000 (€56,000-$69,446), and with a duration of between one and three years. Furthermore, projects must have a measurable impact and be sustainable beyond the period in which they will be funded by Pentland. The project proposals can be e-mailed to cr@pentland.com. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their projects at Pentland Brands headquarters in London on May 10.
