Pentland Brands is hiring up to 100 new recruits for its offices in Nottingham. The new jobs will cover a diverse range of roles, from marketing and sales to finance and product innovation. As previously reported (SGI Europe – Vol. 28 n° 34,35 of Nov. 15, 2017), Pentland Brands is rationalizing the management of its various brands in the U.K. by closing two offices in Stockport and Wakefield, which currently host the operations of two Active sports brands, Canterbury and Mitre, respectively. These operations are set to be moved to Speedo's existing international headquarters in Nottingham, while the group's office in Sunderland will continue to house the Berghaus brand. Pentland's Active division includes Speedo, Canterbury, Mitre and Berghaus.
