Amer Sports has appointed a former officer of the US Navy, Carrie Ask, President and CEO of Wilson Sporting Goods. She will be taking charge of the brand on March 1 and joining the Amer’s Executive Committee.
Ask is replacing the 30-year Wilson veteran Joe Dudy, President and CEO for the six years to August 2025, when he stepped down “to pursue new endeavors outside the company,” as Wilson then announced. According to his LinkedIn page, he is now “taking time off to reflect and reset.”
Amer CFO Andrew Page has ever since been serving as interim President and CEO of both Wilson and the Ball and Racquet Sports segment. Page will be resuming his duties as Group CFO.
Ask was most recently CEO of Helly Hansen (2021-25). Before that was with Tailored Brands, serving Brand President of Men’s Warehouse and Moore’s, then as Chief Customer Officer; with Levi Strauss, serving as EVP and President of Global Retail; and with Nike, serving as VP/GM of NikeStores for North America, VP of Global DTC for Converse or Director of DTC Store Operations for North America.
Ask’s experience, says Amer CEO James Zheng, “includes global brand leadership experience, direct-to-consumer transformation and wholesale experience, along with deep experience in both the US and global markets.”
