eBay has announced two major additions to its leadership team. Samantha Wellington has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Secretary., effective Oct. 7, 2024. Wellington, a seasoned executive with significant experience in governance, legal affairs, and HR, was previously Chief Legal Officer and Chief HR Officer at TriNet. Her expertise will be crucial in navigating eBay’s legal strategy and compliance as the company continues to expand its global reach. Wellington will report directly to Jamie Iannone, eBay’s CEO. She replaces Marie Oh Huber, who left eBay in June after nine years as General Counsel.
In addition, eBay welcomed William (Bill) D. Nash to its Board of Directors on Sept. 18, 2024. Nash is President and CEO of CarMax, the largest retailer of used cars in the US, which includes its CarMax Auto Finance subsidiary. He oversees all aspects of CarMax’s business, including strategy, finance, operations, technology, marketing and human resources.
