The shareholders in El Corte Inglés have reelected Marta Álvarez to another five-year term in the Chairmanship of its Board of Directors, according to Diffusion Sport. Also reelected to the board were Cristina Álvarez, as one of its directors, and José Ramón, as its Secretary.

The Spanish retail chain began a five-year plan on March 1 to invest upwards of €3 billion in store remodeling, business expansion and improvements to logistics and tech.

In its most recent financial year, ended in February, El Corte Inglés generated net income of €512 million on revenues of €16.675 billion, as we’ve reported. Both figures were up year-on-year.
