Effective Oct. 1, 2024, Irina Andorfer steps into the role of Managing Director at Sport 2000 Austria, following the successful closure of Zentrasport Österreich. SGI Europe reported earlier this year that Andorfer would start as Managing Director of ANWR Sports GmbH. The wholly-owned Austrian subsidiary of the German ANWR Group eG has been responsible for the business of Sport 2000 Austria since June 6 of this year. With deep roots in Bad Ischl, Andorfer brings a strategic vision aimed at strengthening the position of the 150 Sport 2000 retailers across Austria.
Andorfer’s leadership will focus on four key areas: positioning and specialization, international collaboration, service excellence, and digitalization. As part of the broader ANWR Group and the Sport 2000 international network, Andorfer aims to align Sport 2000 Austria with global strategies while respecting the unique characteristics of the Austrian market. “We will leverage international synergies while addressing the specific needs of our Austrian retailers,” Andorfer said, emphasizing the importance of tailoring strategies to local contexts.
A central priority for Sport 2000 Austria is continually improving service and product quality, ensuring long-term customer loyalty. “As a sports retail group, our goal is to enhance service quality, building trust and strengthening the Sport 2000 brand,” Andorfer added. This effort aligns with the company’s broader “Home of Experts” positioning, designed to offer consumers expert knowledge and specialized products.
In the coming months, Andorfer will focus on deepening relationships with retailers, helping them adopt new technologies and adapt to changing market conditions. Digitalization will play a significant role in this strategy, enhancing customer experiences and streamlining operations across the Sport 2000 network.
Andorfer comes from Oberalp Austria GmbH, where she was most recently responsible for the Salewa and Dynafit brands, among others, as DACH Sales Manager.
