On Oct. 1, Irina Andorfer will start as Managing Director of ANWR Sports GmbH, based in Ohlsdorf, Austria. The wholly-owned subsidiary of the German ANWR Group eG has been responsible for the business of Sport 2000 Austria since June 6 of this year.
Andorfer comes from Oberalp Austria GmbH, where she was most recently responsible for the Salewa and Dynafit brands, among others, as DACH Sales Manager.
“Irina Andorfer is our absolute preferred candidate,” commented Tobias Eichmeier, Member of the Management Board and Chief Commercial Officer of ANWR Group eG.
Eichmeier believes that continuous development and innovation are crucial for a successful retail business in the future. “The integration into the ANWR Group offers all Austrian sports retailers a secure perspective for the future. Andorfer has the best prerequisites for rethinking retail together with the affiliated retailers,” he said. Andorfer also has strong partners at her side in the ”7-country association” of Sport 2000 GmbH.
In her role, Andorfer reports to Dominik Solleder, Managing Director of Sport 2000 GmbH. “Irina Andorfer has outstanding expertise and an excellent network in the international sports industry. She is, therefore, very familiar with the challenges of the market and the needs of Sport 2000 retailers,” said Solleder.
