
Salomon has appointed Guillaume Meyzenq as the new Global Chief Product Officer - Softgoods. The appointment results from the creation of a new business unit for softgoods, which aligns the apparel team with the existing footwear and bag strategy.
Meyzenq has been with Salomon for 27 years. Since his appointment as Vice President Footwear in 2017, Salomon has more than doubled its footwear business worldwide.
“Salomon has become one of the most important brands in footwear, both in performance and sportstyle,” said Meyzenq. “We have a great team here in Annecy and around the world. The opportunity to create tremendous momentum in apparel is the next step in making Salomon a true modern mountain sports lifestyle brand.”
This new position and product organization is designed to enable Salomon to create a unified customer experience for softgoods with cohesive stories and experiences by bringing together innovation, design, product management, sourcing and merchandising. With rapid growth in various regions, Salomon will strengthen its activities to provide an outstanding experience for all consumers, the company said.
