TMRW Sports, a technology-driven company founded in 2022 that innovates sports, media and entertainment, has announced key additions to its leadership team with experience in the sports, media and golf industries.
The company’s three new hires are Chief People Officer Wendy Caves, Chief Revenue Officer Jason Langwell and Chief Marketing Officer Regina O’Brien. TMRW Sports founder and CEO Mike McCarley said TMRW’s staff now numbers about 70 employees, about 20 of whom have worked in some capacity at NBC Sports or Golf Channel.
Prior to joining TMRW Sports, Caves served as SVP of Global Talent & Culture at the LPGA, where she was instrumental in transforming the HR department into a global strategic partner throughout her 10-year tenure. She also made significant contributions during her 17-year tenure at the PGA Tour. As Director of Human Resources Operations, she was instrumental in building the team to support the newly created ShotLink technology scoring system, helped expand the Tour’s workforce overseas and supported the development of PGA Tour Entertainment, the television and media distribution division.
Langwell joins TMRW Sports as the company’s first Chief Revenue Officer. His team includes Katy Mollica’s Global Partnerships group and Andrew George’s Live Event and Operations group. He joins TMRW Sports from Chicago-based media and marketing firm Intersport, where he joined as SVP in 2014 and drove explosive growth in consulting, experiential and hospitality marketing. In 2018, he opened the Intersport Detroit office and served as Executive Director of the first-ever PGA Tour event in Detroit, the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Most recently, he helped found and launch the World Champions Cup, a unique Ryder Cup-style event for PGA Tour Champions.
O’Brien joins TMRW Sports as CMO after serving as the company’s interim CMO for six months. She oversees all marketing, communications and creative strategies for TMRW Sports and TGL presented by SoFi. TMRW Sports is O’Brien’s latest branding endeavor, having most recently spent four years as director of marketing and communications for Augusta National Golf Club. Before her time at Augusta National, O’Brien led marketing initiatives for global brands, including more than two decades at Comcast/NBCUniversal, where she led marketing for the Golf Channel for ten years.
TMRW Sports’ first project, TGL presented by SoFi, is a new team golf league created in partnership with the PGA Tour. TMRW Sports is backed by an all-star roster of tour players, celebrities and business leaders from the sports, media, technology and financial sectors who form a strong and diverse group of investors.
