Iberian Sports Retail Group (ISRG) has a new General Manager in José Pérez-Milá, Diffusion Sport and others report. He is replacing CEO Francesc Casabella, who has left the group.

Pérez-Milá says that for the past few months he has been “personally assuming all duties relating to the group’s strategic management in Iberia.” He had been ISRG’s Managing Director since September 2024. Before that he was at once Co-CEO of Deporvillage, ISRG’s pan-European e-commerce operation, and CFO of ISRG. Earlier still, and for more than 13 years, he was CFO of both the Sprinter banner and JD Iberia.
Pérez-Milá’s accession is being seen as the final act in ISRG’s ownership changes since mid-2023. That summer JD acquired total control over ISRG, paying €500.1 million for the 49.98 percent still held by Balaiko Firaja Invest and Sonae Holdings. Casabella was appointed in October, and shortly thereafter JD Sports bought out the Sprinter shares of the retailer’s founding family, the Segarras.
Casabella was by 2023 already an Operating Partner at BD Capital, and remained so through his tenure at ISRG. He is also Chairman of Taptap Digital, which BD Capital acquired in 2021.
In its current form ISRG operates the following banners:
- JD Sports in Spain and Portugal only
- Sprinter (Spain and Portugal)
- Sport Zone (Portugal)
- Aktiesport and Perry Sport (Netherlands)
- Deporvillage
