Under Armour (UA) has hired Mikel Arteta, a Spanish former footballer and current coach of Arsenal, as a Global Ambassador. He will be helping out with product development, scouting for talent and leading the UA Next program and UA’s “community impact” in London.
UA Next is connected with the UA Next Academy, at London’s Battersea, where aspiring footballers aged 16 to 20 compete in six tests to win a 12-month UA sponsorship.
On Aug. 15, UA launched a football marketing campaign called “Be the Problem.”
