Atlanta, Georgia-based exercise equipment manufacturer Wahoo Fitness has announced the appointment of Gareth Joyce as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.
Joyce joins Wahoo from Proterra, Inc., where he also served as CEO. Prior to Proterra, he was responsible for one of Delta Air Lines’ largest business units, leading its global ground-based airport operations and cargo business. During a 12-year tenure at Mercedes-Benz, he most recently served as President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada and held various leadership positions in the US, Europe, and South Africa.
Wahoo recently announced its entry into the expansive indoor running market in the summer of 2024 with the launch of its Kickr Run treadmill, following the launch of its Kickr Move and Kickr Shift indoor bike trainers in September 2023 and a progressive new growth partnership with Zwift, Inc. in August 2023.
