Seth Waugh is stepping down after six years as CEO of PGA of America. His contract was up for renewal on June 30, but Waugh decided against it, said the organization. He will stay on in a senior advisory role. Kerry Haigh, the Chief Championships Officer and a key executive since 1989, will serve as interim CEO while PGA of America searches for a new CEO, including candidates from inside and outside the association. Haigh will not be a candidate, though.
Waugh was initially an independent director of PGA of America for three years while he was the CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas. He was hired to lead the association in 2018.
