Pinarello has announced it is pulling out of the Eurobike trade show, saying during the last few years it has been shifting toward direct involvement with its customers. The Italian bicycle company will continue to present its new products via a collaborative presentation with Team Sky at the Giro D'Italia, in May. In July, it will hold the 21st La Pinarello Cycling Marathon, an annual three-day event that features a consumer expo where the brand's dealers can ride the newest Pinarello bikes. In the autumn, Pinarello's test ride fleets will travel the globe in a year-long demo tour of its newest range of bikes. Pinarello is the most recent of a series of bicycle companies that have pulled out of Eurobike. Trek, Specialized and Felt have also pulled out of the trade show. Trek announced last summer it would soon begin to sell its bikes direct-to-consumer online.
