Pou Chen is among the companies that have increased production in Vietnam in view of the duty-free benefits of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreement. According to reports in The Nikkei Asian Review, the athletic shoe manufacturer made 39 percent of its shoes in Vietnam in 2014, as compared to 34 percent in 2013, and Vietnam's share of its total production stood at 42 percent as of Sept. 2015. Pou Chen has a production capacity of 300 million pairs of shoes per year across all its manufacturing sites.
