Prince Global Sports is relocating its world headquarters from New Jersey to the Buckhead area of Atlanta following its 2012 acquisition by Waitt Company, which has installed Mike Ballardie as its chief executive. Ballardie, who has moved there from the U.K., feels that Atlanta is a natural site for the office because of its international airport and because it boasts the largest city tennis league in the world, with more than 80,000 members. It will host the BB&T Atlanta Open next July. However, the R&D and player servicing functions are being relocated to the IMG Academy in Florida, adjacent to the recently opened Prince Innovation Center, under the direction of Tyler Herring, global vice president of product and marketing.
