Printemps, the French department store chain acquired by Qatar Holding, has a plan to boost the number of its Citadium stores to between ten and 15 in the next years. The store concept, which was first inaugurated by Printemps in 2000 with a 6,000-square-meter unit next to its Paris flagship department store, offers branded streetwear, sneakers and other sports fashion items on a large surface for the 15-to-25-year-olds. The third Citadium has just opened on 1,500 square meters next to a Printemps department store in the Grand Var shopping center of Toulon, and a fourth one will follow in Marseilles at the end of May. With only two stores, Citadium generated sales of €80 million in 2013, up 6 percent from the previous year.
