K-Way will sponsor the newly formed Orient Express team, which is set to represent France at the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona next year. K-Way is owned by Turin-based BasicNet, which is also the parent company of Superga, Kappa and other brands. K-Way will provide the competition gear as well as the team’s formal outfits. The team will also be using items from other brands of the BasicNet group, including Sebago footwear, Briko protection equipment, and Kappa training apparel. Established in 1851, America’s Cup is the oldest international competition still operating in any sport. The current defender of the trophy is Emirates Team New Zealand, representing the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.
