According to Fashion Network, Superdry is sponsoring its local football club, the Forest Green Rovers of England’s EFL League Two. Like the British apparel brand, the Rovers are based in the county of Gloucestershire, but they also happen to be, according to FIFA, the world’s first and only vegan football club, with certification to that effect from The Vegan Society. Accordingly, Superdry has launched a collection – for the team and the public – of sweatshirts, hoodies, joggers and T-shirts made entirely from recycled materials. Superdry has publicized its ambition to become the world’s most “sustainably listed” fashion brand by 2030. It also seeks to make its cotton purely organic and to be using only recyclable, reusable, or compostable packaging by 2025.
