According to Forbes and other media outlets (referring to a report from Rolling Stone), NBA star Stephen Curry and Under Armour (UA) are finalizing a near-lifetime contract worth “potentially more than $1 billion.” After political dissonances with UA founder Kevin Plank who praised the then-president Donald Trump in 2018, rumors went that Curry was about to leave its sponsor (Curry came to UA from Nike in 2013).

Curry’s current deal with UA expires in 2024, reportedly worth $20 million annually. Part of the cooperation is an offshoot apparel division named Curry Brand, including shoes and clothes for basketball, as well as other sports such as golf.
