The specialized bike and nordic skiing brand Protective just signed a central distribution contract with Intersport Germany after closing similar central distribution deals with Sport 2000 and ZEG, the cooperative of independent bike dealers, in 2021. The Intersport agreement was another step on the brand’s agenda to regain ground in its home market. Jörg Kazubek, Protective head of sales international, comments: “We have repositioned and strengthened Protective in the last two years, developed the products enormously, positioned the team professionally and were able to conclude strategic cooperations with the most important trade associations. We are now looking forward to taking the next steps and continuing to positively surprise our retail partners and end customers with our ideas and visions”. In addition to the new business contract with Intersport, Protective sends two new sales reps on tour in Germany: Renate Wuttke will be responsible for North-Rhine Westfalia, and Rainer Rösler will take over the Bavarian region from Stephanie Mohr.
