The twenty-fourth edition of the Italian trade show Prowinter is just around the corner and takes place from Jan. 10-12 at the main hall of Fiera Bolzano’s exhibition center. Besides being a meeting point for companies, rental companies and retailers, Prowinter 2024 will be enriched with new initiatives that will make their debut: Prowinter Clinics and Prowinter Test Days powered by ITASnow and Prove Libere Retail by Pool Sci Italia. The Prowinter Award Retail with new categories has also been confirmed.

Highlights of Prowinter 2024

Wednesday, Jan. 10, will be the day with the most initiatives: after the opening of the trade show at 9:00 a.m., the opening ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Prowinter Stage (aisle D26).

The winners of the second edition of the Prowinter Award “Retail” will then be announced. The six jury members have already identified the three nominees for the respective competition categories, namely for skis and ski boots in the disciplines of alpine skiing, all-mountain skiing and ski touring.

Prowinter Test Days

For over two decades, Prowinter has managed to attract the attention of all players in the winter sports world, and this year it will fulfill this task even better, thanks to the enrichment of an additional day of exhibition and the introduction of one of the main attractions of this edition: Prowinter Test Days powered by ITASnow and Prove Libere Retail by Pool Sci Italia.

The test takes place on Wednesday, Jan. 10, and Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm on the Prà di Tori slope of Carezza Ski. This unique event is reserved exclusively for dealers and rental companies, who will be able to test the new products for the 2024/25 season in advance. The test village is dedicated to brands of equipment and accessories for skiing, freeriding, ski touring and snowboarding. Participation is free of charge and reserved for retailers and rental companies with up to a maximum of two testers per sales outlet.

In line with its own environmental guidelines, Fiera Bolzano has organized shuttle buses connecting the exhibition area in Bolzano with the Carezza ski resort. For registration and further information, please consult this link.

Prowinter Clinics

The novelties of the three-day exhibition at the Bolzano Exhibition Center are not limited to the Test Days. The exhibition program will be enriched by the Prowinter Clinics, short 15-minute talks in Italian or German in which the companies will present their products to dealers and rental companies, share important technical information and give tips for effective marketing. A new format from Prowinter gives brands the opportunity to highlight what’s new on the market while strengthening the relationship with their customers. Prowinter Clinics will occupy the afternoons of the event on Wednesday, Jan. 10, and Thursday, Jan. 11, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. On Friday, Jan. 12, the clinics will take place in the morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The full program is available at this link
