Puma has teamed up with the Mercedes AMG Patronas Formula One team to develop two new fast and light athletic spiked shoes with a strong suspension for the Tokyo Olympics. The Vospeed Tokyo Future Faster + and Evospeed Tokyo Future Nitro Faster + spikes will be worn by athletes such as Karsten Warholm, the Norwegian hurdler, world record holder, world champion and European champion, and by André De Grasse, the Canadian sprinter and Olympic silver medalist. Puma, which has been traditionally involved in motor sports, says it has applied the knowledge of automotive racing engineers to the new products, after feedback from its sponsored athletes. The spikes use carbon and titanium.
