Puma has announced that Luis Suárez, the striker of Barcelona FC, has inked a boot deal with Puma Football. Before joining Puma, Suárez had been sponsored by Adidas for 11 seasons. Prior to joining Adidas in 2008, he wore Nike soccer boots. The 31-year-old player will now be wearing Puma Future football boots. Meanwhile, Barcelona FC's kit continues to be sponsored by Nike. Puma is also a kit provider and sponsor of Uruguay, Suárez' home country. The player has been a top goal scorer at least once in each of the European leagues in which he has played, which include the Netherlands, England and Spain, scoring more than 20 goals in every season since 2012, and more than 400 goals in total. Suárez has also scored 53 goals for Uruguay. Puma's roster already includes Uruguay team mate Diego Godin as well as Mario Balotelli, Romelu Lukaku and Antoine Griezmann, among others, all sponsored by the brand.
