Puma has introduced an eponymous smartwatch, the first such product in its history. The watch comes with a textured silicone strap, the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform, a customizable touchscreen with which to track training goals, a GPS and a heart monitor. It is water resistant to five atmospheres or 50 meters, will sync with iPhone, Android phone or Google Wear OS, and includes Google Assist and Google Fit. It is also compatible with Google Pay and will download third-party apps, while the installed Pumatrac Watch app will track running routes. Dial styles include “Scorecard,” “Reach,” “Heartrate” and “Bounce.” On Nov. 13, to introduce the watch, the company sponsored the “Highest Training in NYC” with some high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on the observatory deck of the Empire State Building.
