Puma has announced that it has scaled up its textile recycling innovation Re:Fibre and replace recycled polyester with its Re:Fibre technology in all Puma soccer kits for clubs and associations from 2024.
Since the launch of the pilot project in 2022, where the brand produced recycled training kits for the soccer clubs it sponsors, Re:Fibre technology has also been used for Switzerland and Morocco’s replica kits for the Women’s World Cup and Girona’s third kit for the 2023/24 season. In 2024, the official Re:Fibre soccer kits, including the kits for the Euro and Copa América, will be made from recycled Re:Fibre materials made from old garments and factory waste, not just recycled plastic bottles.
