Puma will not comment on reports that the Chilean football federation (ANFP) has lodged a suit against the German company, asking to rescind its sponsorship contract with the national football team, which normally runs until July 2015. This would prevent Puma from acting as official supplier of the team during the 2015 Copa America championships, which will take place in Chile. ANFP is complaining that Puma shipped the gear for its qualification matches for the recent World Cup late and in bad condition, mixing up the kit with that of Ghana, and that it did not fulfill the conditions of its contract with regard to marketing and advertising. Meanwhile, the Italian press has criticized that Antonio Conte, the new coach of Italy's national team, which is sponsored by Puma, is receiving half of his salary of €3.2 million from the Wild Cat.
