Pursuing its expansion in China, Protest has opened a new store in Tianjin after the startup of two stores in Beijing last year. The Dutch boardwear brand already has stores in Russia, France and the U.K. With a population of more than 10 million, Tianjin is one of the top five populated cities in China. The store is located in the La Vita Shopping Center, on the biggest shopping street in town. Recently, the company has been increasingly focusing on global expansion, with China being at the center of its retail development strategy. Protest started trading with its Chinese partner, BTS Shanghai International, in 2010, although its relationship with the owners has spanned more than 20 years. It was an exhibitor at the last Ispo Beijing show.
