Pursuing its expansion policy in Europe, Courir has returned to the Belgian market by opening a store in Brussels. The store takes up 400 square meters on the ground floor of the City2 shopping mall on rue Neuve. On Oct. 4, two other Courir stores will follow on the outskirts of the capital: one in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert and the other at 57 Chaussée d'Ixelles. The French retailer of sneakers and apparel currently operates about 250 stores in all. The Go Sport group sold the chain to Equistone, an investment fund, in March, about a month after Courir made its first foray outside of France with a new store in Spain. In May, the chain entered Luxembourg. Portugal is next, with a store opening scheduled for the second half of 2020. The company is striving to raise its annual sales from the €390 million to €600 million by 2025.
