Quiksilver has introduced a full range of snow gear for snowboarders and skiers, dubbed “Surf the Mountain,” with pieces designed and tested by the brand’s athletes. The collection comprises jackets, bibs, pants and fleece and is complete with performance outerwear created and worn by riders like Travis Rice, Sammy Carlson, Red Gerard and Bryan Fox. The Surf the Mountain collection places major emphasis on sustainability. All black linings (100 percent) are solution dyed, using significantly less water, energy and chemicals. Insulation is entirely made from recycled polyester. Furthermore, 90 percent of shell fabrics are made from certified recycled polyester or nylon, and 80 percent of water-repellent treatment is PFC-free, the company has claimed.
