Rainer Ziplinsky, a retailer from Kiel on the German Baltic Sea coast, has been appointed new managing director of LEX Laufexperten (“running experts”), the influential cooperative network of specialty running shops across Germany. The 59-year-old has been in the retailing business for about 28 years and will coordinate the actions of the group, which currently counts 67 retailers. Most of them are members of Sport 2000, but some of them are affiliated to Intersport or are entirely independent shop owners. They and non-members will be able to attend the LEX show being held on June 16 in Mainhausen, where Sport 2000 has its international head office. More than 50 companies will exhibit their products.
