Real Madrid Club de Fútbol has announced that it will donate €1 million within the framework of “Everyone with Ukraine,” a campaign that was launched by the Real Madrid Foundation on March 5 to help alleviate the humanitarian needs of the displaced population in Ukraine. Some of the funds raised by the campaign will be allocated to the Spanish Red Cross, which has mobilized a large team on the Ukrainian borders, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Other organizations that are involved on the ground include the NGO Casal and the Salesian Missions as well as Epicenter for Children, which has been working with the Real Madrid Foundation since 2018 in seven social sporting schools in Ukraine in the cities of Ternopil, Irpin, Jmelnitsky and Kyiv. Real Madrid has also donated more than 13,000 items of warm clothing and sportswear to centers of the Red Cross and Casal in Madrid, to help support the welcoming of Ukrainian refugees in Spain. The Real Madrid Foundation’s Everyone with Ukraine campaign will continue “as long as necessary,” the club said, to provide a direct donation channel for those in need in Ukraine, in the bordering countries and for the welcoming of refugees in Spain.
