Reebok and Adidas, which belong to the same group, have collaborated on a sneaker for the first time. The Instapump Fury Boost blends Adidas' Boost technology with Reebok's Instapump Fury silhouette. Reebok's original Instapump Fury, released in 1994, was a slip-on shoe with no laces, a GraphLite bridge instead of a midsole, and an Instapump to tighten the shoe on the foot. Adidas' Boost, which has been on the market since 2013, essentially consists of a midsole made of thousands of granules of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) fused into capsules and arranged in cells to deliver a significant energy return. Reebok and Adidas have just released images of the combined Instapump Fury Boost. The sneaker will be available in three packs. The first of these, the Instapump Fury Boost Prototype, will be debut on Oct. 5 in a limited edition of 50 pairs exclusively at AtmosCon Japan. Two others will be first released in Asia on Oct. 25, followed by a wider roll-out from Nov. 22. Two other, simpler models will be available globally on Dec. 6.
