Reed Exhibitions, which organizes the international Fibo fair of fitness products, and the European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA) are going to hold the first European Health & Fitness Forum on April 2, 2014 in Cologne, the day before the trade show. It's going to be a summit meeting of the European fitness sector, involving academics, officials of the European Union and top executives of fitness studios and companies such as Cybex, Life Fitness, Matrix Johnson and Technogym. EHFA will present the essential findings of a new study of the European fitness market conducted with Deloitte, outlining a plan to raise the number of members in Europe's health and fitness studios from 44 million to 80 million by 2025. Topics will include special fitness training for overweight children and for the 50-plus age group, plus a U.K. study providing scientific proof of the benefits of physical exercise.
