Reflo, a British sustainable performance wear brand, has announced Harry Kane as an investor in its first seed-funding round, which raised around £1 million (€1.17m), with other investors from the worlds of athletics, green technology and creative services. In addition, the England men’s football captain will become a golf ambassador, wearing the brand officially during off-field activities, including golf practice and appearances in Pro-Am and exhibition competitions. Kane initially wore the brand at The Icons Series in 2022 and has since worn Reflo behind the scenes for over a year.

Founded in November 2021, Reflo focuses on sustainability and performance. The brand specializes in golf but also caters to runners, gym goers and players of other sports, like tennis and padel. Reflo’s performance wear is made predominantly from recycled polyester, derived from single-use plastic waste destined for landfill. Its fabrics require 50 percent less energy to produce and generate 70 percent less carbon than virgin polyester. They have also received multiple sustainability certifications, such as Bluesign, the Global Recycled Standard, Oeko-Tex and U Trust.

Reflo also embeds chemicals from used coffee grounds in its fabrics to enhance their technical features and performance. As part of its sustainability policy, the company has pledged to plant 500 trees for every goal that the Harry Kane scores in the 2023/24 season. Kane currently plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
