Representatives of Adidas, Nike and Puma have signed a protocol with representatives of Indonesian factory workers, their unions and various institutions, including the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry, to support and promote the adoption of practices that will strengthen the application of Freedom of Association guidelines in Indonesian factories. At least three other companies – Asics, Pentland and New Balance – are due to join the list of signatories. The protocol has been published by WFSGI on its website, www.wfsgi.com.
